CHATHAM KITS COACHES |
|
Chatham Kits have now been purchased by Roxey Mouldings. They have been re-numbered to fit in with the Roxey range of kits although most of them have been designed differently to our own products.
Vans and horseboxes are in etched brass with white-metal cast detail. The open wagon kits are manufactured in conjunction with Woodham Wagon Works. They consist of cast whitemetal sides, ends, axleboxes, springs and buffers; where appropriate, and etched floor, W irons and brake levers.
All kits include assembly instructions, historical and livery notes, but often only a basic drawing.

and numbers. Three of these were scrapped in 1928 but 3370

until 1955. 3' 7” Mansell coach wheels and couplings required

Etched brass kit. The LCDR built 35 in two batches between
1879 and 1884. All were Westinghouse brake fitted from new.
The SECR would have fitted vacuum brakes or at least vacuum
through pipes. All appear to have been withdrawn by 1922.
