4L1 TENTERDEN K.E.S.R. 2-4-0T

Built in 1899 for Colonel Stephens to open the Rother Valley Railway, later the Kent & East Sussex Light Railway. In 1904 Tenterden received 4ft driving wheels. Northiam was unaltered except for a stovepipe chimney. As well as the KESR she also ran on other col. Stephens railways and in 1937 starred in the film "Oh, Mr. Porter!". Both were scrapped in 1941. Our kit is in etched brass with a nickel silver chassis. Most castings are whitemetal with a pre-cut tube boiler. Gears and sprung homblocks, alternative chimney and buffer-beams are supplied. Alan Gibson wheelsets are available(See Options). M1224 motor is needed to complete (see Options). NOTE: This kit was designed round many specialist components from Exactoscale. The new owners of Exactoscale are not continuing production of these parts. This means we cannot supply this kit until a major re-design of the chassis has taken place.
