In 1897 Beyer Peacock delivered the second of two 2-6-0s ordered by the MSWJR for heavy freight work. These unusual locos were based on similar ones built for the New South Wales Railway in Australia. At the GWR takeover in 1923 No.16 was rebuilt with a GWR standard boiler, cab and tender. This is the version modelled. She was withdrawn in 1930. Our kit is in etched brass and nickel silver with turned brass and whitemetal fittings. The boiler is pre-cut brass tube. Wheelsets, motor and gearboxes are available (See options)
NOTE: This kit uses a GWR 2500 gallon tender kit from Blacksmith Models. The new owners seem to be unable to supply this. We are unable to supply the complete loco kit until the problem is resolved. Phone or email if you require the loco only.
