7C69 LBSCR Stroudley 4 Wheel Mail Van

Etched brass kit. Includes sprung buffers. Wheels, couplings, paint and transfers needed to complete. In 1878 three 4 wheel postal sorting vans were built for the London to Brighton and Hastings services. To Diagram 48 the running numbers were 401, 402 and 403. 402 and 403 were withdrawn in 1899 and became Tool Vans. 401 was coupled to Bag Tender Van No.327 (Kit 7C68). It is not clear how long they ran in Mail services but 327 became a Stores Van in 1920. Kit produced to order only.
